Battle of the Boot -- Back Where It Belongs!

Oh yes. It was a sweet thing to see the Boot come back to War Memorial -- and STAY here!

So I missed the 34 - 10 prediction.

Guess what?

I don't care!!!

Pictures to follow. I feel the need to bask in victory. (Good sportsmanship is overrated at times and this is one of those times!)

Even so, it was a tough, well-played game on all fronts (except for the clock issues -- as my father said, installing a back-up clock would be an inexpensive, quick fix).

Wooo Pig Soooooieeee!

  1. Grats! You're right about good sportsmanship. What's the point in bein' a fan if ya can't rub it in when ya win a BIG one?

Great game, second only to today's Iron Bowl game. And that's sayin' somethin'!

  2. Congratulations. There, I've said it. It was a good game, #1 offense against #1 defense - Mallet just tipped the scales. When Arkansas gets to the Sugar Bowl, probably against Ohio State, I'll be giving it my best 'Woo Pig Sooie'. SEC all the way.

  3. It was a nailbiter, Jim. Thanks for being a good sport, even if I wasn't. If we make it to the Sugar, it'll be the first time since 1980 and Moogie will be running a Bed & Breakfast!

And thanks for the encouragement for me to indulge in a little gloating, Buck! And welcome home from Switzerland! Did you bring us any chocolate? Or, perhaps, a Rolex or two?

  4. Did you bring us any chocolate?

Nope... I travel VERY light, usually just my carry-on. But here's a tip: go to the coffee and cocoa aisle in your local market, look for a light blue container labeled "Swiss Miss." Tell 'em I sent ya.
