Moogie, I really do wonder what it will take for society at large to come to grips with the fact that we are in a REAL WAR of ideology. A REAL WAR!
ReplyDeleteAround the corner, and down the street from me a young Muslim guy bought an old Dago grocery store about 10 years ago. He and I have become good friends. He is Muslim by birth, but smokes, drinks beer, and has an American flag on his beer cooler. He was born and raised in Dearborn, MI.
A couple of years ago his father came down to visit. He is a retired GM line worker (lots of Arabs went to work at the plants around Dee-troit evidently). I'll swear, I tried to visit with his Dad a couple of times, but I got so sick of his Islamic s*&t that I finally told Abdul (that's the young guy's name) that I wasn't coming back to the store until Pa went on back home...I didn't want to hear about the evils of Christianity, etc. Abdul (we call him Cobie) understood, and told me that was one reason he moved down south to get away from Dearborn, and that community.
We are in a real war. We are going to find ourselves in the shape that Canada is soon, if we do not choke up on the bat and start swinging.
