Cancel That Request

Remember when I mentioned in yesterday's post that it wouldn't be so awful if some terrorist blew up the Golf Channel's transmitter?

Never mind.

It seems that there are several hours of the ladies playing in Colorado Springs recorded on the DVR, so real-time broadcasting isn't necessary to watch a little more golf.

*sigh*. At least the scenery is pretty. We had brunch at the Broadmoor a number of years ago while staying at Ft. Carson. I could do that again, even if there were a bunch of LPGAers out there.

  1. I went with my very plain spoken cousin to a club house to pick up her husband after he had played a round of golf. He introduced us to a couple whom he had played golf with. The lady was very bubbly and told us how she had recently taken up golf to play with her husband and just loved it. She then looked at my cousin and said, "Do you play golf?" My cousin looked her dead in the eye and said, "No! And shoot me if I ever start."

  2. The LPGA. Thanks for reactivating memories o' massive traffic jams that lasted for a freakin' WEEK each and EVERY year when the LPGA came to Ra-cha-cha for one of their tournaments. The course was between my house and my place o' bid'niz and the tournament added at least a half-hour to 45 minutes to my commute, and there were NO work-arounds. NONE.

That was the first instance of me harboring terrorist thoughts. Thanks again, Moogie. I'll figger out some way to return the favor. ;-)

  3. I'm almost to your cousin's place, Lou. I did play with Pepper for a number of years, but it's just too darn hot to play down here except during late fall/early winter.

Oops -- I seem to have opened a can of worms, Buck. I'll watch my back!

  4. Moogie, I haven't watched much LPGA in the last couple of decades. But, I think if you go to a tournament, one of 'em will likely hit on you (unless things have changed).
