Return of "the Spring"

Although Andy thinks the signs of winter have arrived, it's "Spring" here at Moogie's Mansion.

Yep.  You guessed it.  It's b-a-a-a-ack!

We have a whole-block bombard-the-Sewerage-and-Water-Board phonathon gearing up this afternoon.  You'd think they'd get a handle on this stuff after the entire East Bank of New Orleans went under a boil order in late November as a result of water pressure levels that fell below levels required to keep the water safe and uncontaminated.

At least this one's not on Moogie's nickel.

And, no, I'm not overloading the system by draining the pool for winter!

  1. I imagine the City Services guys get a nice long vacation around the Holidays. Wonder if they'll get to it before then.

  2. Maybe so! Which holiday? Easter? Fourth of July? Armistice Day?

  3. Maybe you should move above sea level.

  4. I'm thinkin' the Water Board will just take the phone(s) off the hook. That's what civil servants DO.

  5. Crud, Moogie! I remember the Spring well.

I actually had something VERY funny to say when I started to comment, but now I can't remember what it was.

But, it was funny. Trust me.

  6. I think they've been known to emulate the civil service at City Hall, Buck.

It'll come to you, Andy! I trust ya.

What really gets my goat -- the City Council just last weekend, in the wee hours of the morning, stealthily raised our Sewerage rates by 100%!!! *sigh*
