One day, long, long ago, there lived a woman who did not whine, nag or bitch.
But it was a long time ago, and it was just that one day.
The End
My thought? That woman betrayed the rest of us! Now the men will know that we can go a day without whining, nagging, and bitching!
Get a rope.
My wife already gave me her one nag-free day back in 2006. All downhill ever since... :)
ReplyDeleteHmmmm...I wonder who that came from.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I wonder who sent it to him...
Probably not from the source I'm thinking of, though. I got that one the other day, and decided not to post it. Got in mucho trouble with you know who last time I went wise about the fairer sex.
Racism I can get away with.
Sexism...nope!
Heh. Some are worse than others, but you're right about the betrayal thang.
ReplyDeleteYep, guys. Those days are finite. We mustn't waste them frivolously.
ReplyDeleteMoogie, the fact is that around here those days seem to be "infinite."
ReplyDeleteI am the most blessed of men, I guess. I can probably count on one annual calendar the days that have not been blissful in my marriage.
And, at least half of those 365 days of turmoil between me and Pam had much more to do with my wrongness than hers. Don't get me wrong...she ain't perfect.
Who was it...? ALABAMA, maybe sang that song..."She's Close Enough To Perfect For Me."
Moogie, Pam and I just got off the phone from a two hour conversation with eldest son. I heard more wisdom, smarts, instruction, and love drip from her lips in those two hours than EVEN I realized was waiting to be used of The Lord.
It was like magic. Hard to describe, and impossible to figure out. Just "MAGIC."
So, yeah...she's having one of those really good days.
Again.
