Poking a Stick at the Grammar Beast

This is one that grates on my soul. Isn't it sad how the language mutates when people are too lazy -- or too stupid -- to learn the correct way to say/spell its words.



I dunno. I kinda like "aporkchop."

I think we'll have some aporkchops for dinner tonight.

    Texting makes it worse. People don't expect much from a text, but then when they go to FB, they still use the dumbed-down grammar of texting.

    I saw a funny grammar mistake on FB that made me laugh: I'd rather be pissed off then pissed on.

    Current pet peeve in literary world: using "precise"when you should use "accurate." Different problem but still a reflection of a lack of understanding of English.
