ABC announced today that the Young President and the First Lady will be interviewed by Barbara Walters next Tuesday during a brief visit to the United States by the globetrotting First Family. The interview will air on the Friday evening following Thanksgiving.
The nausea resulting from thinking about how fawning and smarmy the interview will be is expected to curtail holiday food consumption dramatically. Childhood, and other, obesity is expected to take a downtick as a direct result of the First Lady's cagey strategy.

This post just hit my reader which has had over 300 posts through it this morning. Your post has the better delivered content than almost all of the others so far.
ReplyDeleteIf they really wanted to stop child obesity, they would abolish Food Stamps.
Or show this program BEFORE Thanksgiving.
High praise, indeed, Mr. M, but I'm afraid that showing it before Thanksgiving would violate the Eighth Amendment proscriptions about punishment!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm safe. I've never seen a single Baba Wawa episode/show (excluding SNL) and have no intentions of beginning now. Lemmee know how it goes, OK?
ReplyDeleteAfraid I won't be able to help you out there, Buck. I'm on a strict Baba Wawa-free diet.
ReplyDeleteToo bad I have to work Friday night. I was SO looking forward to this...
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it'll be available online!
ReplyDeleteI think my computer's busy all that next week.
ReplyDeleteI think my computer's busy all that next week.
ReplyDeleteHeh. Mine too. Besides... the parental control thingie won't let me visit those sorts of sites.
Moogie! How cum links are invisible in your comments? Mouse over "parental control," above.
ReplyDeleteI think it must be her background color.
ReplyDeleteIn the "comment" mode, the blue link shows up fine. But, in the page view, they're invisible.
I have no idea what you techies are talking about, but HAL gave me nightmares for years!
ReplyDeleteWhat he's talking about is if you just view a particular page on your blog...say this one I'm on...a link left in a comment does not appear evident as a link.
ReplyDeleteI think it's because your background color is the same color that the Globber turns links, so you have to mouse over the link to actually recognize it as one.
When you are on the comment box/page, the background is white, so the link is obviously to the eye.
But, I'm probably wrong.
I think it must be her background color.
ReplyDeleteMebbe. But, as you noted, if you mouse over the link it turns the proper color... with underline... even tho the background color stays the same. I have NO ideer why this is. If I did I'd tell Moogie how to fix it.
If I post a link in future I'm gonna do this:
parental control <== LINK!
Ahem. Make that "suggest" Moogie on how to fix it. I lose my head sometimes.
ReplyDeleteNo, you meant "tell Moogie." But, that's okay! It's not a gift with an electrical cord or something really tacky like that.
ReplyDeleteYou see RIGHT thru me, dontcha? ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's probably not the background color at all. But, unless she's monkeyed with the template somehow, you'd think globber would highlight the links a different color in this template.
ReplyDeleteMoogie's is the only one I've come across that does this, but I've noticed it before here at the Mansion, too.
I reckon it's just one of them thangs.
I haven't laid a finger on the template (that I know oh!) Elder daughter set up the blog for me as a Christmas gift in late 2008 and there's been no maintenance to it, except once, since then.
ReplyDeleteI will tell y'all that I have to change the color on links in the body of posts myself, though. It doesn't do it automatically. Does that make a difference in your analysis?
Buck probably knows. Look at the links on my blog, and on Buck's.
ReplyDeleteThey are the same color blue, and they turn that way automatically.
Dunno! Buck's the IT guy, and I'll let him weigh in.
